Service Description

Upon successful completion, students will receive a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment issued by Australian Operator Training RTO #41351 - RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces - MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmospheres Course Outline (Enter and Work in Confined Spaces) • Identifying Confined Spaces • Regulations and Legislation • Australian Standards • Risk assessment and hazard minimisation. • Standby Equipment • Case studies • Confined Space Entry Permits Awareness • Confined Space Safety Equipment Usage (harnesses, tripods, winches, spreader bars etc) • Worksite Policy & Procedures • Lock-out, Tag-out and methods of Isolation • Atmospheric Monitoring and Gas Detection Awareness Course Outline (Gas Test Atmosphere) • When gas testing is required • Responsibilities of the supervisor • Risk assessments incorporating atmospheric monitoring requirements • Confined space permits • Oxygen deficiency and enrichment; lower explosive levels; carbon monoxide, methane and other gases • Exposure limits • Air densities of common gasses and implications • Gas testing logs and gas detector maintenance • Gas detector bump testing and calibration requirements • Gas detector records Course Duration - 1 full day of training - A typical course runs from 07:30 - 13:30 Practical and theoretical activities drive the training experience to ensure that the training is engaging, interesting and relevant. Students who attend training through Central Coast Training are supported by our industry qualified trainer / assessors and are provided with a strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards. We ensure you are confident in your abilities to successfully complete the course and utilise your skills confidently in the workplace. Participants must: • Be at least 16 years of age • Wear closed in footwear and work appropriate attire • Possess a basic understanding of English • Possess basic literacy and numeracy skills • Provide 100pts of ID (Drivers Licence, ID Card, Medicare or Passport etc.) • Arrive at least 15 minutes early to avoid delays • Bring their own lunch; breaks will be provided • Have their own method of transportation or bus stop nearby • Have your USI number ready (if you do not know your USI or if you need to create one, our team can help) We supply all the equipment necessary for you to undertake training when booking at our Woodridge office. Refund Policy: Payment upfront is required to confirm your booking. Students may cancel by contacting us within 48 hours to receive a refund. Students may reschedule by contacting us within 24 hours prior to the course start date. No refunds will be given for non-attendance.
