Upon successful completion students will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment: RIIWHS204E Work safely at Heights RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmosphere Students who attend training through Central Coast Training are supported by our industry qualified trainer / assessors and are provided with a strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards. Course Outline • Regulations and legislation, Australian Standards • Risk assessment and hazard elimination • Equipment selection and use • Anchor systems, selecting solid and reliable anchorage • Fall restraint systems, selection of equipment and correct use • Work positioning systems, selection of equipment and correct use • Fall arrest systems • Using energy absorbing lanyards • Correct use of ladder safety training • Risk assessments incorporating atmospheric monitoring requirements • Confined space permits • Oxygen deficiency and enrichment; lower explosive levels; carbon monoxide, methane and other gases Course Duration • 1 full day of training • A typical course runs from 07:30 - 15:30 Practical and theoretical activities drive the training experience to ensure that the training is engaging, interesting and relevant. Cancellation Policy
Participants must: • Be at least 16 years of age • Wear closed in footwear and work appropriate attire • Possess a basic understanding of English • Possess basic literacy and numeracy skills • Provide 100pts of ID (Drivers Licence, ID Card, Medicare or Passport etc.) • Arrive at least 15 minutes early to avoid delays • Be respectful towards staff, other learners and equipment • Bring their own lunch; breaks will be provided • Have their own method of transportation or bus stop nearby • Have your USI number ready (if you do not know your USI or if you need to create one, our team can help) Central Coast Training is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for all students, staff, and visitors.
