The Standard 11 Mining Induction is a mandatory requirement for workers in Queensland Coal Mining

Service Description

The purpose of this recognised training is to ensure coal mine workers are adequately trained in the ‘Recognised Standard 11, Training in coal mines’, core units of competencies and to meet the health and safety obligations contained in the Coal Mining Act 1999. Training is conducted by industry experienced trainers; students will gain first-hand experience from our instructors and gain valuable knowledge on relevant legislation and Australian Standards for QLD Coal Mining. Upon successful completion, students will receive a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment This qualification covers the 6 components listed below: • RIIERR205D – Apply initial response first aid • RIIRIS201E – Conduct local risk control • RIICOM201E – Communicate in the workplace • RIIGOV201E – Comply with site work processes/procedures • RIIWHS201E – Work safely & follow WHS policies and procedures • RIIERR302E – Respond to local emergencies and incidents Add your underground component for only $175! • RIIERR203 – Escape from hazardous situations unaided This competency is valid for 5 years. ** Refresh your current Standard 11 - Only $315 ** Course Duration • 1 full day of training (or 2 half days) • A typical course runs from 08:00 – 01:00 Practical and theoretical activities drive the training experience to ensure that the training is engaging, interesting and relevant. Participants must: • Be at least 16 years of age • Wear closed in footwear and work appropriate attire • Possess a basic understanding of English • Possess basic literacy and numeracy skills • Provide 100pts of ID (Drivers Licence, ID Card, Medicare or Passport etc.) • Arrive at least 15 minutes early to avoid delays • Bring their own lunch; breaks will be provided • Have their own method of transportation or bus stop nearby • Have your USI number ready (if you do not know your USI or if you need to create one, our team can help) We supply all the equipment necessary for you to undertake training when booking at our Woodridge office. Refund Policy: Payment upfront is required to confirm your booking. Students may cancel by contacting us within 48 hours to receive a refund. Students may reschedule by contacting us within 24 hours prior to the course start date. No refunds will be given for non-attendance. Important Information: By submitting your booking online, you understand that attendance throughout the duration of the course is required for successful completion of the course.
